Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hello I launched an image optimization and I had to configure without webp because I fear that some browser does not display it, or badly (wrongly?) See here https://prnt.sc/up47z2 But, I check the optimization and see that its marked webp under each image. See here https://prnt.sc/up48rn How can it be ? Why does it serve Webp while I have configured not have webp (as you can see on screenshot) ? Is there any setting I have forgot ? Hi, webp ? means this image didnt have webp version Best regards, Ho! Thnak you. This is funny, I misunderstood what was wrote? ok. So it means that images are optimized but not in webp, thatis right? So I have another question : are the webp displayed now on Safari and Firefox? I saw those browsers didnt displayed and this was cauding issues. Is that fixew now or not ? Thank you Hi, So it means that images are optimized but not in webp, thatis right? correct. are the webp displayed now on Safari and Firefox? on latest Safari and FireFox , yes , it supports webp. and generally speaking , in most cases , webp wont be sent to non-supported browser Best regards, ok thank you. Is it possible that PNG causes issues when it is optimized ? Hi, Could you please explain what do you mean by issues ? in any case, for whatever reasonse if LSCWP failed to optimize a image , then it will just remain the its previous status and wont changed at all , like optimization never run on that image. Best regards, In this other topic here https://wordpress.org/support/topic/images-packed/#post-13483022 I try to figure out why my images are displayed distorted while they are ok in my Divi Visual Builder. I search if there was wrong CSS or bad CSS optimization but I disabled the second and found nothing for the first. Now, I wonder if the fact that its PNG and not jpg could be the reason why it going wrong. Because it is the only place I have some PNG and this is the only place I have a bad displayed online and it came after I did optimization?(but it could be a hasard or an update with conflict?) Hi, I feel its something to do with CSS optimization Best regards, Hello Ok well sorry, Elegant theme just told me that this is a known issue in the last upadte? They gave me CSS line to fix it. It is not LSCache.
