Wordpress LScache Plugin: unable to generate critical css over https logged out

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi I currently have a problem where the critical css is not generating over https. Viewing the source confirms that it is not being generated. To confuse matters the critical css is being generated when I am logged into the WP admin. To confuse matters further it also generates if I flip the domain over to http no matter if I am logged in to the WP admin or not. In the settings I have Load CSS Asynchronously, Generate Critical CSS and Generate Critical CSS in Background all turned on. I have toggled the Generate Critical CSS on and off to no effect. I also have Improve HTTP/HTTPS compatibility turned on. Any help on this would be great. Thanks The page I need help with: https://dev.waterbynature.com/ Hi, I assume your site URL is set to https:// ? Because if Generate Critical CSS in Background = ON , then your first access will NOT generate CCSS , CCSS will generate later , and then insert into page when it is purged. Please try disable background generation and see how it goes. Best regards, Hi there Sorry for the lateness in replying. Thanks for getting back to me. The site url is set to https Toggling the generate critical css in Background does not make any difference unfortunately. Loading the page still has nothing between but when I am logged in the critical css is there. Its because the page is cached before generated CCSS. You can visit a new cached page by adding a query string after your url, e.g. https://yourdomain.com/?xxx
