Wordpress LScache Plugin: optimized images not showing

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi there, Ive optimized about 50% of the images on my website but I dont think the images showing in my posts are optimized. It looks like the regular images are displayed. When I run Google speed test, it still suggests to optimize the images. I also downloaded a few images from the website and the size is the same as when I uploaded them. There is definitely room for improvement as my images are not small. The folders in the media library are purple and when I click on the image file the size seems to be smaller than when I uploaded it. But I dont think the optimized images are showing on the website. Is there a way to tell if the optimized version of the image is displayed or just the regular one? Thank you in advance! The page I need help with: http://www.mariaushakova.com/ Hi, Maria If the images look smaller in the Media Library but not on the site, then stale versions of your image files are probably being served from a cache somewhere. I took a quick look at your site, and it looks like youre using Cloudflare for your images. Try clearing the Cloudflare cache. That should fix the problem. Let me know if it doesnt do the trick! Hi Lisa! Thank you for the quick reply! Since the system only allows me to process one batch of images every 24 hours, I decided to finish processing all of them first before clearing CloudFlair cache so that I only do it once. I will report back in a few days. My pleasure! Look forward to hearing from you. Hi, Maria. How did it go? Do you still need help? Please let me know if things still dont look right. Otherwise, Ill mark the topic as Resolved. Thanks! Hi Lisa, thank you for following up. Some of the optimized images started to appear a few days later. I have finally finished optimizing all them and cleared the Cloudflare cache but some images still appear in the large size (but are smaller in the media library). Any ideas what else I can do? Do you have an example of a page where that is happening? If you can share the URL to the page, plus let us know what size image you are seeing vs. what size the media library says it is, we can take a further look. Thanks! Oh, and I just thought of this ? any chance your browser is caching those images? Try clearing your browser cache and taking another look. It looks like its finally working. I cleared the CloudFlare yesterday and the images were still showing in the regular size. But I checked again this morning and now they show as reduced. It took a while but its all good now. Thank you for your help! Oh good, glad to hear it. Thanks for the update!
