Wordpress LScache Plugin: localres/platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Error 404
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hello Admin, Please help, when the localization activated, gtmetrix/chrome console displayed error: mysite.com/wp-content/litespeed/localres/platform.twitter.com/widgets.js not found (bad request 404). When I directly access the URL, the JS file showed up, but when I explore via WinSCP, I cannot find localres/platform.twitter.com/widgets.js or LSCACHE never generated the local file? I am sure, there is no issue with my folder permission. Thanks & sorry for my English. Hi, Do you have file /wp-content/.htaccess ? Best regards, Hello, I am using nginx as my webserver, and the answer is no. The only hidden file in wp-content is .object-cache.ini. Thank you. Hi, hmmm , that 404 page , was it default webserver 404 page ? or wordpress 404 page ? Best regards, Hello, No, My sites view is not actually broken, the 404 only appeared on chrome console or detected when I ran SEO Audit like gtmetrix, pingdom, etc. I also tried to remove the line: https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js from Localization list, then the error gone, but it affected to my SEO score (Reduce DNS Lookups). So, Localization helped me increase my SEO but what the error? Thank you. Hi, By the way, LSCACHE support for nginx, right? I can see the plugin auto generated a .htaccess on roots site or somewhere, but how about nginx user? Thank you so much. LSCACHE is awesome! Hi, Yes, I mean when you access https://domain/wp-content/litspeed/localres/platform.twitter.com/widgets.js, does it return nginx error page or WP error page ? for Nginx , partially , most cache function relies on htaccess, but nginx doesnt support LiteSpeed Cache anyway , so this part doesnt effect you. only thing you need to manually set up is the browser cache option , it uses .htaccess to set expire header, you need to manually set equivalent for nginx in its conf file. besides the caching part, I think everything should be same Best regards, Hi, I can see the JS page (not 404) when I access https://domain/wp-content/litspeed/localres/platform.twitter.com/widgets.js but when I explore, the file widgets.js is not exist, like the plugin never generated the file. The 404 error only appeared when I run SEO Audit or when check on Chromes console. This 404 also affected to my SEO score by the way. Thank you. Hi, in addition, I also tried to add the widgets.js manually, but the error still exist. Anyone in this forum has the similar issue? Thanks Hi, what do you mean by nginx doesnt support LSCache? I can see on browsers header / some cache checker site, the cache seems working. Thanks Hi, I think the problem is the LSCache doesnt support my other plugin (WP Hide & Security Enhancer), I used the rewrites feature to rename the default wp-content, etc to another. I just disabled it and the error 404 gone! Hi, oh my bad. I missed the word: miss on the header. Of course it doesnt support yet.
