Wordpress LScache Plugin: how to : Send New Thumbnail Requests
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 i had to clean up the media library in WordPress / replace some images and regenerate the thumbnails .. but now have of my images show as not optimized while the screen in lscwp shows all done .. and i just can see that button to Send new thumbnail request ? ? LiteSpeed Cache Image Optimization v2.9.7.2 The page I need help with: https://wohnhirsch.ch Hi, May I know how did you replace the images ? Because LSCWP reads the images from database , so if your replacement was bypassing WP standard logic , LSCWP wouldnt know the new images is there, or old images has been replaced. Best regards, Hi, I replaced the images with the Enable Media Replace plugin, for the thumbnails i used Regenerate Thumbnails. for the rest of the issues i used Fix Media Library plus that i had to copy some lost images back manually. now my media library shows for a good part of the images no optimization by litespeed however lscwp shows all done ? the in your documentation i read about that Send new Thumbnail requests but as said I just cant find that button .. any other ideas on how to motivate lscwp to rescan the DB are welcome cheers, Markus Hi, So I am trying to reproduce your issue here. But I saw in enable media replace , there are 2 options when replacing , I assume you choose Just replace the file ? Best regards hi, no i had to choose replace and update file and links cheers, markus Hi, I see , so actually , when file is actually replaced, but there is no way LSCWP to know the file is replaced. For now the only way is to destroy optimized images and re-optimized If you only have handful of images are replaced, then you can go with reset button in Media page Best regards, Ok, thx for the update ? in this case ill have to redo the entire media library ? pity there aint no rescan function anyway case closed! cheers, markus There was a rescan function. We disabled it temporarily when refactoring image optm functions. Hopefully we can bring it back soon. :p i hope you bring it back soon ! cause i tried to destroy optimized images but nothing happens, no credit reset nothing. and therefore i obviously cant start to re-optimize. So for now it seems that my only chance is to wait for your refactored image module. cheers, Markus Well destroy all or clean up unfinished will all reset your credit. Did you refresh your status and check? yes i did actually after the latest update i now was able to destroy all and redo the optimization. apart from a few hickups it seems to work fine now ? in the media library the litespeed column has gone missing ? but as long as the output is what I want I dont care so all is fine. and that one i find interesting after destroy all : Images previously optimized: 546 groups (634 images) cheers, Markus
