Wordpress LScache Plugin: cached files have wrong permissions

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi I cant really tell where the problem is but the cache plugin all of the sudden stoped to set the cache permissions right (it sets them to 600) which makes the css and js hit 301, and the browser ends up in fetching loop getting nothing. from log 05/26/20 17:13:01.944 [86.49.30.6:49713 1 5ho] [Ctrl] 301 from ../wp-admin/admin.php 05/26/20 17:13:01.944 [86.49.30.6:49713 1 5ho] [Ctrl] 301 to ../wp-admin/admin.php?page=litespeed-toolbox 05/26/20 17:13:01.944 [86.49.30.6:49713 1 5ho] [Ctrl] X Cache_control -> no Cache ( 301 to same url ) 05/26/20 17:13:01.944 [86.49.30.6:49713 1 5ho] [Ctrl] not cacheable before ctrl finalize 05/26/20 17:13:01.945 [86.49.30.6:49713 1 5ho] [Router] get_uid: 1228 05/26/20 17:13:01.945 [86.49.30.6:49713 1 5ho] [Router] get_role: administrator 05/26/20 17:13:01.946 [86.49.30.6:49713 1 5ho] X-LiteSpeed-Cache-Control: no-cache 05/26/20 17:13:01.946 [86.49.30.6:49713 1 5ho] [Optm] bypass: Not frontend HTML type 05/26/20 17:13:01.946 [86.49.30.6:49713 1 5ho] End response The reset or plugin deactivation or several cache cleanings has no impact on it. Manual reset of the files in wp-content/litespeed/cssjs to 644 fixes the issue, but for how long ? It might be that the plugin autoupdate pushed new version in that has the bug, or who knows. I have couple more WP installs on the same hosting with litespeed cache so the hosting should not be an issue (GreenGeeks) Latest WP, Litespeed 3.1 This topic was modified 2 years, 6 months ago by 2046. Hi, If you check the source code, you will see mkdir( $folder, 0755, true ) it creates dir with 755 , which I checked several test site across my 3 servers , all shows 755 I can only think maybe something else tempted permission Please check if you have any security plugin Best regards,
