Wordpress LScache Plugin: cache not being cleared properly

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
I have had issues with other plugins where when I make changes, they are not picked up even after purging the cache. I have one particular plugin ATM that displays a loading icon, If I make any changes to the settings, or even disable the plugin, my site breaks, because lscache is trying to serve up somehting that no longer exists. The developer of the plugin has stated this. here is the plugin. https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/loading-page/ If I disable the lscache plugin then the issue goes away, but that obviously is not a viable workaround. Hi, please check Cache -> Purge -> Serve Stale is set to ON or OFF ? make sure it is OFF and may I know what is your webserver ? Best regards, it is a litespeed server I have completely disabled the lscache plugin, but cached css files are still being served. I am having an issue that something is stopping the page rendering and causing a blank page. Here is a staging copy of the site https://staging.michaels.me.uk/ I have disabled every single plugin, which so far makes it look like the caching is the cause/ ok it seems it was partially the stale cache setting. Even though the plugin was disabled, it was obviously still doing this. After re-enabling lscache and disable serve stale, the issue seems to be resolved on the staging site at least. However on live site, still having the same issue, even with stale cache cleared. might be a good idea to make sure this also get turned off when plugin is disabled. Hi, is it OpenLiteSpeed or LiteSpeed Enterprise ? they work differently Best regards, I have no idea. Hi, please provide the report number you can get it in toolbox -> report ,click send to LiteSpeed Best regards, LITESPEED_SERVER_TYPE = LITESPEED_SERVER_ENT Hi, are these changes you did , are related to JS/CSS ? and you have cloudflare that may also caches css/js , please try disable it and see how it goes Best regards, I always switch CF to development mode to rule that out and also clear the CF cache Hi, are these changes you did , are related to JS/CSS ? and you can also verify the HTTP response header, see what is value it gives on x-litespeed-cache header Best regards, Hi, Im going to mark this topic Resolved , due to lack of activity. If you still need help, please feel free to re-open it. When re-open it, please also change the topic status to not solved Best regards,
