Wordpress LScache Plugin: Wordfence warning
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 A Wordfence scan has raised the following warning: Filename: wp-admin/LSCWP_DIRvar/crawlermap.data.meta.reset File Type: Core Details: This file is in a WordPress core location but is not distributed with this version of WordPress. This is usually due to it being left over from a previous WordPress update, but it may also have been added by another plugin or a malicious file added by an attacker. Is this a LiteSpeed Cache file and if so can it safely be deleted/ignored? Thanks Hi, Yes, its LSCWP file, for crawler. Better ignore the warning, if you delete it, it may break crawler to pre-warm your cache? Best regards, Thanks for the speedy response. Maybe you should advise Wordfence so they can amend their warning? LSCWP_DIR is the constant that defined in LSCWP. If you are using latest version, that is supposed to be replaced to LSCWPs path. You can delete that file and try regenerate sitemap in crawler, and see if that file is generated again. Thanks.
