WordPress admin settings dont save when LSWS is active

Wordpress LScache Plugin: WordPress admin settings dont save when LSWS is active

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi there, I was trying to get support via the Litespeed Web Server forum but for some reason, I keep getting asked to report this here. We dont have the LS Cache plugin installed on the site we are having issues with so not sure why our issue would be relevant to this forum but as I keep getting directed here, please forgive me if this issue doesnt belong here. (forum link: https://www.litespeedtech.com/support/forum/threads/wordpress-admin-settings-dont-save-when-lsws-is-active.21227/) We are having an issue that only happens when we enable LSWS. When Apache is enabled, this issue does not happen. When LSWS is enabled, we are unable to save some settings in the WordPress Admin panel. For example if we go into Appearance > Customize > Header Builder > Site Icon and then change the icon to another icon from the media library, save it and refresh the page ? the icon is not saved. We have noticed this happening on other new websites we are building since enabling LSWS. On this particular site we are using the Astra theme but this has also happened when using the default wordpress theme and with all plugins disabled. The Litespeed cache plugin is not installed at this point. Other settings do not save either, for instance global colors. When we deactivate LSWS and enable Apache, the issue goes away and saving can be done as normal. Any ideas on what we have done wrong? We have followed the online documentation when setting up LSWS and cant see what we are doing wrong. We dont have any virtual hosts. We discovered that when opcache is disabled, saving can be done as normal. Weve also discovered that when Litespeed Web Server is active, opcache is enabled and the site is using php7.4, saving works as normal. When Litespeed Web Server is active, opcache is enabled and the site is using php8, saving doesnt work. Thanks for any help you can give, apologies again if this issue shouldnt be reported here. The page I need help with: https://neurohearteducation.shop Why dont you open a support ticket at litespeedtech.com or write an email at support@litespeedtech.com? Wow, this is a first for me, in all the years Ive been on posting on forums, getting support and sometimes offering support, Ive never been stalked before. @CacheCrawler, you are the person on the litespeed web server forum that told me to post my issue here, despite knowing the issue was nothing to do with the LS Cache plugin. You could have given me that tip there instead of wasting my time. I have already opened a support ticket, thankfully someone else helped and pointed me in the right direction. Im getting the help and support I was looking for and, as expected, the issue I had was nothing to do with WordPress and nothing to do with the LC Cache plugin. If I hadnt given you the info that you can get support directly from LiteSpeed, you still wouldnt have a solution. So dont complain, say thank you. Remember that you get support from people who do this voluntarily. Seriously, pack it in! You didnt help me ? I got the help from another forum and via my Litespeed purchase. You were absolutely no help at all. You directed me here ? incorrectly. You told me to raise the issue with WP as it wasnt related to Litespeed ? incorrectly. No complaints from me, only an intense desire that our paths dont cross again. Perhaps volunteering and actually being supportive is not your thing. Thank goodness for the other volunteers out there who helped. Thank you to them.
