Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi, today I got this message in my site health recommended improvements, The scheduled event, litespeed_task_ccss, is late to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended. What should I do here? The page I need help with: https://questionpapershub.com Hi, Nothing , just wait it for a day or two , then this message should be gone by its own. otherwise you can try set up a real system job instead of use WP cron job Best regards, Hi, but why is this issue coming up in the first place. I am using w3tc in one of my other websites, but havent found any such issue there. And why is litespeed_task_ccss, is late to run , is this the reason why I am seeing a HTML coded page at first whenever I try to visit my site? Because the critical CSS is not getting loaded on time. I have received many complaints from my users. Because this is a problem for users having an internet speed issue, they are only able to see my HTML coded page for a longer duration. And you mentioned set up a real system job , how to setup? Is there any plugin or something? Hi, from what I understand on this matter, this is how I think and how it happens. 1. you enabled CCSS in background , then plugin create a cron job , lets say for each 5 minutes , and it is supposed to be run at 10:05 H 2. at 10:05 , there is no visitor to your page , or page is cached , so wp-cron.php is not triggered 3. at 10:10 , someone accessed your uncached page or somehow , triggered wp-cron.php to run 4. wp-cron.php sees there is a corn job supposed to be run at 10:05 but it didnt , then give you that message. For system cron , please check this page Best regards, Thank you for the detailed explanation, I will set up the real cron job for my site. Thank You.
