Wordpress LScache Plugin: Welcome window after install on multisite wont go away
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 The Litespeed plugin was installed on my multisite some weeks ago, and the welcome window that informs me its been installed keeps reappearing, no matter whether I click OK, got it (dismiss) or click the X in the top right-hand corner. Not a major problem but a little annoying. Hi @mbwd Apologies for the inconvenience. We actually made some recent changes to that logic that we planned on releasing today. We will see if we can figure out whats wrong. In the meantime, could you describe what your set up looks like? Cheers, Kevin Hi Kevin @litespeedtech Sorry, do you mean server setup, or site setup, or? ? Not sure what info would be helpful for you, so please let me know what you need to know. Hi @mbwd, Thanks for the quick reply. Im interested in your site set up. 1. Is it subdomain or subdirectory? 2. How is the cache plugin activated? I believe by default, we only activate it on the main site (subsite) 3. Where did you find and dismiss the warning? Where does it pop up? Thanks, Kevin @litespeedtech 1. Subdomain setup 2. Plugin is active only on the main site and has not been network-activated. All settings are default. 3. Warning is found on every page of the back end, i.e. not just the Dashboard main page, but all other admin pages as well. Clicking to dismiss will work until the page is refreshed or a new admin page is loaded. Hi @mbwd, The next release should address this issue. As it turns out, the issue was still present in the outgoing release, but we were able to find the root of the issue. Thanks for reporting this! We should be releasing later today, unless other things are brought to our attention. EDIT: Note ? we typically wait until we are certain of the changes before adding it to the whm plugin list. If you want to upgrade the plugin yourself, you may do so. However, your server admin will not be able to update you to the new version him/herself. If you want a temporary fix, look in wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/admin/class-litespeed-cache-admin.php at the bottom of the admin_init function. You should see a line LiteSpeed_Cache_Admin_Display::get_instance()->show_display_installed() Delete it and the message should disappear. Cheers, Kevin
