Wordpress LScache Plugin: Weird website speed increased.
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi, Today while debugging a cart issue with my site, I disabled Litespeed Cache plugin to see if it was causing the issue. To my huge surprise, my overall website loading time decreased by 50%. I have no idea how and why. One possibility might be that I set up the plugin wrong and thats the reason. Well, I didnt have a caching plugin and the load times were very, very high. Only then I went ahead and tried out everything on the market. Settled on LS Cache because it had something like 3-4% performance boost over the others. Im just curious, has this happened to anyone else? Hi, when you have faily fast pages , and cache is MISS , due to LSCWP has to buffer the output and does its operations , this could add some stall , like : no cache at all : page always loads in 2 seconds with cache and miss : page with cache miss loads in 2.2 seconds , then page with cache hit loads in 1.5 seconds also , if you have some options enabled , like CCSS/LQIP in foreground , combine external JS/CSS , localization ?etc , these operation will need to fetch resources from external hosts which could slow thing down like: no cache at all : page always loads in 2 seconds with cache and miss : page with cache miss loads in 5 seconds due to fetch external resources , then page with cache hit loads in 1.5 seconds you can just try export your current setting , reset to default setting and see how that goes first Best regards, Hi, Im going to mark this topic Resolved , due to lack of activity. If you still need help, please feel free to re-open it. When re-open it, please also change the topic status to not solved Best regards,
