Wordpress LScache Plugin: Websites in subfolders clearing cache problem

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
I have main Website and many Websites in subfolders: ? Website/Subwebsite1 ? Website/Subwebsite2 ? Website/SubwebsiteN When I give the command Purge All in any Subwebsite (1,2 ? N), the cache from the main Website is also cleared. A similar situation is when I clean the cache on the main Website ? then cache in all Subwebsites (1,2?N) is also cleared. My hosting provider claims, the only option is to put Subwebsites in subdomains, but thats not satisfactory to me. Other cache plugins run as independent instances and there is no such problem with them. Is there any solution to this problem other than using subdomains? Regards Everet Hi, is this wordpress network ? or you have manually installed/created many subsites ? Best regards, Hi, The structure is as follows: ? WordPressMain(main website) ? WordPressMain/WordPress1 ? WordPressMain/WordPress2 ? ? WordPressMain/WordPressN WordPress1?N are in subfloders of the main website (WordPressMain). These are independent instances ? not Multisite. ???? When I am logged in as an administrator to any WordPress, I see other websites as not-cached. According to my hosting-provider, the system treats the whole as one directory and when issuing the clear cache command, it flushes the entire cache directory and thus deletes the cache of all websites. Other plugins (eg W3 Total Cache, WP-Optimize, etc.) work only within a specific website and are independent of each other. However, when a subwebsite has its own subdomain assigned to it, it is treated as an independent instance, although it is still in a subdirectory. Regards Everet emmmm? sorry for my bluntness , but how do you access the subsites ? like https://domain.com/sub1 https://domain.com/sub2 https://domain.com/sub3 ?etc or like https://sub1.domain.com https://sub2.domain.com https://sub3.domain.com while these subsites are pointed to main_webroot/sub1, main_webroot/sub2 ,main_webroot/sub3 ?etc Hi, The problem is with the first configuration: https://domain.com/sub1 https://domain.com/sub2 https://domain.com/sub3 In the second case (with subdomains) everything is fine, but this solution is not optimal for a number of reasons. ???- To be clear, the problem is with a configuration like: https://domain.com/forum. No problem with https://forum.domain.com/. forum is just an example of the subwebsite in subfolder. Regards Everet okay , I only ask because I am trying to re-create the environment as yours and reproduce the issue so lets say , your main site is on / direcotry then you create subdomain sub1.domain.com , and set path to /sub1/ and install WP there, correct ? and whats the site URL and home URL you set on WP setting if above is correct ? Main website: https://domain.com/ WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL): https://domain.com Subwebsites: https://domain.com/sub1 https://domain.com/sub2 https://domain.com/sub3 https://domain.com/subn WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) adequately: https://domain.com/sub1, https://domain.com/sub2, https://domain.com/sub3 Directory structure: domain domain/sub1 domain/sub2 domain/sub3 domain/subn ??? Do not create subdomains. Simply acces to subwebsite by slash: https://domain.com/sub1 I create 4 sites https://domain.com/ -> /home/xxx/public_html/ https://domain.com/sub1/ -> /home/xxx/public_html/sub1/ https://domain.com/sub2/ -> /home/xxx/public_html/sub2/ https://domain.com/sub3/ -> /home/xxx/public_html/sub3/ all individual and separated WP sites but on my test , purge on main site doesnt purge the subsites would you please join our Slack for further investigation ? if youd join in , please let me know your username , or reach me by @CacheCrawler Hi, Today we contacted our hosting-provider again. The whole problem lies with the configuration of services with our hosting-provider. It is not possible to separate subwebsites from the parent website (it is possible if we use subdomains only). So you can close this thread, because nothing can be done about it Best regards Everet okay , sorry to hear this
