Wordpress LScache Plugin: WebP version not being served
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi. Im having page speed issues due to WebP images not being served. As of my understanding of the troubleshooting guide, I have turned off image optimization and webp generation/replacement, deleted all optimization data, turned image optimization and webp generation/replacement back on, and everything is set to auto. The webp versions are generated (I can find them in my cPanel/file manager), but they are not being served on the webpage. This coincides with my page speed results, asking me to use a more modern image?format. I have run a debug log, but I have no idea what to look for. I tried opening a private ticket to send you the log file, but the form kept asking me to fill inn all required fields (all fields were filled). I have turned off and turned back on webp replacement. Cleared the Litespeed + Cloudflare cache after that.? I went to my WP dashboard, general settings to see if the site address URL matches the one with the images that are served. The address in my WP dashboard includes https://, but the image served does not (when I right-click an image and open it in a new window). Not sure if this matters, and if so, how to fix it? Report number: SLINTHHA Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. I can see on homepage , some images are webp , some are not this indicates the webp replacement is working and also please note , not all images will be able to have webp , some images wont have Hm, ok. But isnt there a way to enforce 100% webp replacement? After all, google penalizes non-webp photos in their speed test, regardless if the jpg is smaller than the webp-version. Passing Googles speed tests is a crucial ranking factor. there are some times the webp file is larger than original , thats the most common case where an image doesnt have webp Yeah, I get that, but I want to serve the webp-version regardless of which is bigger. As I said, my site gets penalized in the page speed insights test because it serves other formats than webp. well ,unfortunately no , this logic is hardcoded as it doesnt have option to ON/OFF it
