Wordpress LScache Plugin: WebP support for template images
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 I have enabled WebP and image optimisation in the LiteSpeed cache and all seems well so far. I would like to load WebP versions of images that are hardcoded into my theme (for example my logo that is loaded in header.php). I have uploaded a WebP version of the image that sits in the same image directory as my logo. Is there a setting that enables LiteSpeed to replace images in my template with WebP alternatives where they are available in the same location? If not, can you recommend best practice to load a WebP image where supported with a JPG/PNG image as a fallback for older browsers, all without interfering with the magic that goes on inside the LiteSpeed plugin? Thanks Hi, Please refer to this wiki the last 2 sections. Thanks for your speedy reply. Ive enabled the last option but it doesnt seem to do anything. So the code I have in header.php is:
LiteCache Rush: Speed comes from using less, not from doing it faster
