Wordpress LScache Plugin: Use cookie-free domains
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi there I previously used WP-Rocket on a website. Ly website was very fast but I wanted to try Litespeed. I activated Litespeed and do some tests. Now, with YSlow, I have a F grade for Use cookie-free domains for 16 components. These 16 components are only .jpg/.png that are in my /wp-content/uploads/ folder. Why is that? How can I correct that? Thank you, Cedric Hi, Because WordPress relies on cookie to function properly , a lot of features depends on cookie. In order to correct this part, you will need to create a sub-domain , or better a CDN with cookie-free setting to serve your static resources. this post might be helpful for you. Best regards, Hi Thank you for this fast anwser. What I dont get is that my grade for this point was perfect with WP-Rocket. Your Litespeed plugin doesnt support that? Hi, As far as I know, there is no plugin or no way to solve this kind of issue without a separated sub domain or CDN domain. I can only guess that you might have overlooked this warning before. As matter of fact, WP rocket doc states the same thing for separate domain or CDN Best regards, Hi I have disabled Litespeed plugin and reactivated WP-Rocket, and I have grade A for this feature in YSlow: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/touchequelux.lu/AnagADIF Best regards, Cedric Hi, Actually if you test on other tool , it still shows cookie-free warning , like this https://tools.pingdom.com/#5c820eaf76c00000 If you ask me why this happens , I have no idea , I randomly tested few of my test sites with basically identical setting , some of them shows this warning , some of them doesnt. From what I understand , like when you access https://domain.com this domain will add a cookie into your browser , then all the sub resources under this same domain share this same cookie. Thats why it requires a separated domain to be cookie-free so it wont interfere the WP functionality. Best regards,
