Wordpress LScache Plugin: Update keeps reverting to 2.9.8.2

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
why does it always keep reverting to 2.9.8.2 after updating ? Its likely that your hosting provider force install the specific version, you should ask them to change the version number in their mass enabler config. Its not that! Hi, How does it revert to 2.9.8.2 ? Like you click on upgrade , it shows 2.9.8.4 and then you refresh page it will show 2.9.8.2 again ? Best regards, After a few hours, it always goes back Hi, Please try if you manually install the previous version , lets say 2.9.8.1 or 2.9.8.3 , how does that go ? always be changed ? Ill install 2.9.8.3 now, gotta wait 24hrs to see what happens Hi, From what I know , this is most likely due to the hosting provider do mass enabling. Have you contacted your provider about it ? Also , do you have any kind of backup or rollback plugins ? Best regards, I have spoken to the hosting provider who use puppet for configuration control, They have advised me the current LiteSpeed Cache For WordPress Management version is 2.9.8.2. Can you confirm that the wordpress plugin works on the version that is installed on the actual server or uses the version of the plugin? Hi, So that confirmed our guessing. The hosting overrided it. Yes, the mass enabling feature usually has few versions behind , as we push stable version to WHM enabling You can ask them to flag your account so next time they do mass enable , wont override your site. Best regards, This is the reply from Hosting Support Hi Jason, I saw the post, We cannot do that sorry due to the way puppet works & we cannot segregate your domain and the plugin author response to reply answers my question. The plugin works based on the servers cache version not the plugin version Hi, Please rely following screenshot to your provider. You can ask them to flag your domain , in which , mass enabling wont do your domain anymore, like this screenshot. https://i.imgur.com/ki6TPQK.jpg or , ask them to upgrade to latest version as this screenshot. https://i.imgur.com/WiqxFvX.jpg Best regards,
