Wordpress LScache Plugin: Troubleshooting using LiteSpeed with CloudFront as CDN
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Im looking to set my site up such that when a browser doesnt support webp images, it falls back to jpg. LiteSpeed obviously helps with that. My images are delivered via CDN, specifically CloudFront. I followed the instructions I found here (https://blog.litespeedtech.com/2018/04/25/cloudfront-cdn-and-litespeed-cache), but when I turn on Use CDN Mapping , my sites presentation breaks?Firefoxs developer tools Network panel seems to indicate that no CSS is being loaded. Im not sure if theres anything else useful I can provide other than the report number BVWKPFPE. Hi, is d1_8_dr_y2_67s.cloudfront.net your CDN domain ? Best regards, Heya @CacheCrawler, thanks for replying. The CDN domain is d198tdr5y2h67s.cloudfront.net. Hi, please try set CDN URL to https://d198tdr5y2h67s.cloudfront.net/wp/ Best regards, Ah-ha, yep, that fixes the presentation issue mostly. (Not sure how I missed the idea that it should point to the WordPress directory instead of the public directory, ha.) If possible, would you be able check the new report I just submitted (#TMWQTLDY)? When I flipped the switch to turn on Use CDN Mapping , there are some images missing (so far Im guessing thats an unrelated issue) but none of the working images point to the webp version. (I can append .webp to the .jpegs in the CDN, and they work, so theyre indeed available in CloudFront.) Hi, Do you have a page link of these image issue ? Best regards, I dont at the moment. I realized I need to update my dev site so I can leave problems live for others to see. So we can leave this marked as resolved and Ill be back if Im able to have a useful-but-dev-site page link to share. Thanks again.
