Wordpress LScache Plugin: Strange issue with Image WebP Replacement option
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi, I have a very strange issue with the Image WebP Replacement option in the plugin. For some reason, I have images on my website that are not replaced by the .webp format. For example, on my homepage the hero image, also in the footer the 6 images. I dont really care about the 6 images in the footer because they are lazy-loaded anyways, but the hero image shows in the PSI report and had to be next-gen format . Ive checked if there is a .webp image generated by the plugin and yes there is. All of the other images except the hero and the 6 footer images are in .webp format. Im trying to figure out why the plugin doesnt want to replace these images and the only conclusion that I got to is that they are in plain HTML widget in the widget area and they are hardcoded. Can this be the reason? And if it is, how can I lie PSI to stop complaining about the hero image? I would appreciate any help!
