Wordpress LScache Plugin: Strange Stuff?

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Seeing as Im on a Litespeed enabled server, I thought Id try Litespeed Cache out again. Stunning cache figures from the front page ? using Brizy Page Builder to build an image-heavy website, and even though its not finished yet, Im regularly getting sub one second loading times. Im having to wait for WP-Cron to kick in before my images get converted to .webP and really thats the only problem ? the waiting around ? however there is a strange thing that surfaced in LC. When I went to the optimisation tab and set a few things like CSS minify, JS minify and all the inline stuff, the load times went through the roof ? usually around 3-4 secs (with no images) as opposed to 1-1.5 secs as it is now, WITH images. So I ended up resetting all the settings and left the optimisation tab alone. Does the optimisation tab and minify also rely on WP-Cron, meaning I should have waited for the optimisation to kick in later, or is there a fault? The optimisation and minify function do not require WP-Cron. May I know when you calculate long loading time is that page not get cached yet? If you turned ON optimisation and minify feature, its normal that the first loading time will be longer because these functions require some loading time on parsing the script. I tried it at the weekend just after I activated a new theme. Shortly after, I then activated the LSC minify tools, when the load time shot up from milliseconds to 3-4 seconds ? meaning I reset everything If you reset everything, the page should not be cached yet, could you please provide?Report Number for us to take a look? Well I dont know about that, its been cached since late Sunday night I thought. Is there no real documentation for how to set this cache up? Ive never known a plugin that needs so much attention as this one. Nevertheless Ive sent a report number ? JOAKQMMM Hi, Apologize for the inconvenience that you have experienced. By designed , when you have JS/CSS minify/combined , only the first time , it generates on fly , which in most cases , this is negligible. And after the optimized files are generated , it will saved to /wp-content/cache/css(js) directory for future access , which is redirected by rewrite rule which it will no longer need to regenerate it again. If that process stalls long time , please enable advance debug log to your IP the log will also log the time stamp , hopefully we can find what went wrong , or why it takes so long. Best regards, Ok, so Im going to launch another website in the next few days, Ill use the same Litespeed server and document the speed before, during, and after Litespeed has generated the optimised files, and let you know.

LiteCache Rush: Speed comes from using less, not from doing it faster
