Wordpress LScache Plugin: Some images are skipped during webp conversion
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Some of my product images (WooCommerce) are skipped during webp conversion, and Im ending with srcet values like these on the front-end: uploads/2020/12/mini-bouquet-fleurs-sechees-fiesta-03-scaled-600x600.jpg uploads/2020/12/mini-bouquet-fleurs-sechees-fiesta-03-scaled-300x300.jpg uploads/2020/12/mini-bouquet-fleurs-sechees-fiesta-03-scaled-1024x1024.jpg.webp uploads/2020/12/mini-bouquet-fleurs-sechees-fiesta-03-scaled-150x150.jpg uploads/2020/12/mini-bouquet-fleurs-sechees-fiesta-03-scaled-768x768.jpg uploads/2020/12/mini-bouquet-fleurs-sechees-fiesta-03-scaled-1536x1536.jpg.webp uploads/2020/12/mini-bouquet-fleurs-sechees-fiesta-03-scaled-2048x2048.jpg.webp uploads/2020/12/mini-bouquet-fleurs-sechees-fiesta-03-scaled-100x100.jpg There is no regular pattern in the dimensions that are skipped/converted, sometimes I do have 100?100.jpg.webp for example. Upon checking via FTP, I can see that skipped images have a .bk.jpg version (meaning they have been detected) while some converted images dont have a .bk.jpg version? The LiteSpeed Cache Image Optimization dashboard is saying: ? Images total: 764 groups ? Congratulations, all gathered! ? Images total: 6808 images ? Congratulations, all requested! And it doesnt change when I click Rescan New Thumbnails . Thanks in advance for the help! NB: Ive enabled Image WebP Replacement + WebP For Extra srcset and disabled the WebP conversion that my theme was handling natively. The page I need help with: https://www.flora.paris/boutique/bouquets-fleurs-sechees/mini-bouquet-de-fleurs-sechees-pour-decoration-de-table-evenementielle-fiesta/ Hi, because some images dont and wont have webp version , you can simply verify by access the image URL with .webp , e.g. https://www.flora.paris/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/mini-bouquet-fleurs-sechees-fiesta-03-scaled-150?150.jpg.webp Best regards, Hi @CacheCrawler, I dont undertstand this statement some images dont and wont have webp version . 1. Isnt the plugin supposed to convert any jpeg image to webp? My example is from a product page powered by WooCommerce, which will always include the following ratio for a given image: 100?100 150?150 300?300 600?600 768?768 1024?1024 1536?1536 2048?2048 2. If (1) is not true, why some other product pages get a webp version for the 150?150 ratio? E.g. here with https://www.flora.paris/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/etoile-fleurs-sechees-decoration-noel-celeste-01-scaled-150?150.jpg.webp Hi, 1) and 2) , yes , but in some case, for whatever reason , the webp file is larger than original jpg file , and in such case, for obvious reason , no point to keep the webp Best regards, Got it, thanks for the clarification!
