Wordpress LScache Plugin: Site slows down & high CPU usage due to external media optimization call

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
I am using external featured images in featured image for woocommerce. I have enabled media optimization options like LQIP, webp version etc. After that my site pages loading slowly and High CPU usage seen in the server. I am using OpenLiteSpeed with Cyberpanel. Servers error log showing errors like PHP Warning: getimagesize(//cdn.zivame.com?) failed to open stream etc. Site becomes ok when all the image optimisation options are disabled. How to prevent external images being Optimized so that lightspeed will not call this images for optimisation? Reason: Add image The page I need help with: https://cbshop.in/v-neck-solid-color-t-shirt-from-zaful-fashion-9/ For me, media optimization is not the reason. Your images are much to big and it takes too much time for optimization and causes high load to optimize them. Resize your images and try again. This image is as double big as it must be: https://gloimg.zafcdn.com/zaful/pdm-product-pic/Clothing/2019/03/15/source-img/20190315185504_68231.jpg 600px ? 798px (scaled to 258px ? 343px) All other images at your page are also much tooooooooo big. Thsese images are external images that are not saved on my server and I have no control over them. So the size could not be changed. Only one setting is required in Lightspeed plugin that is disable optimize and add image size for external images which are not stored on current server. Moreover, when Add image size is on then a php call made as getimagesize by Lightspeed plugin. This call increases load on the server that caused slow loading or downtime. Sorry, something is wrong in your strategy how to handle images?.. I am out! Maybe LiteSpeed support has better ideas. please try disable add missing size option

LiteCache Rush: Speed comes from using less, not from doing it faster
