Wordpress LScache Plugin: Site Performance Problems

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
I am building a WooCommerce site at https://www.thespectrummarketplace.com.au/ and am using the LiteSpeed caching plugin on the recommendation of my hosting company. After tweaking various plugin settings the site scores quite well on tools such as Pingdom and GTMetrix in areas such as page speed, page size and number of requests. It also has a good score at ByteCheck for Time To First Byte . However it scores poorly (20) on Google Lighthouse in the Performance section of the report, with the problems seeming to be connected to things such as Render-Blocking Resources and an excessive number of DOM elements (3800+) From what I have outlined, can anyone advise what areas of the plugin settings might affect this result, and what the appropriate defaults might be? I have not used Litespeed before and my knowledge of caching plugins is limited. I would be grateful for any assistance or advice. The page I need help with: https://www.thespectrummarketplace.com.au/ Hi, For render blocking , you can try load async CSS and defer JS , for excessive DOM , sadly nothing we can do about it Best regards,

LiteCache Rush: Speed comes from using less, not from doing it faster
