Wordpress LScache Plugin: Several websites getting 404 errors for JS and CSS
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hello, Several of my clients websites running Litespeed are experiencing 404 errors for CSS and JS. It has occurred several times on at least five different websites and takes a clear cache to fix. Purge All On Upgrade is enabled for all the websites. I am making reports on them while the issue is happening, but from what I have seen it seems to coincide with plugin auto-update time logs. Hi there, Ive exactly the same issues for about 10 days (November 5 at least) without having changed any settings. Maybe since the last version (5.3, October 31)? I tried to change the settings but without success. Hi, Me too. I got tens of websites with litespeed plugin installed. And since upgrade to version 5.3 i got random emails from clients saying their website is broken. Assets like css and js are not being loaded (404 error). I think there is something wrong going on. I have the same problem on several sites. After downgrading to 5.2.1, everything works normally again. I think the problem happens when the cache is cleared automatically. Having the same issue. Purging the CSS and JS cache fixes it temporarily, but it randomly starts giving 404s to the CSS files listed in the html and doesnt stop until the cache is clear again. All page TTLs are set to 1 week. Were having similar problem too lately. Seems every automated upgrade by WordPress, the plugin clears the all the optimized files but does not regenate new optimized files or doesnt link to the new files. Same problem :/ Sad to see my sites all with 404 https://i.postimg.cc/hPvF7dXt/image.png I dont know if it helps, but I managed to take a snapshot of the page when the CSS shows the 404 error: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wHi4OxBSnGnKx5nFKYD4o0KiYjoIRk0f/view?usp=share_link I got a response from support that the issue is being fixed. They recommended disabling CSS/JS combine or downgrading to v5.2 in the interim. please try toolbox -> beta test -> copy paste this link https://github.com/litespeedtech/lscache_wp/commit/cc231479bdf3c36712267a82898737fc2fe9a646 then upgrade see how it goes , please note this is still a beta version of plugin Same here?.
