Wordpress LScache Plugin: Saving changes in LS Cache nukes my media libray
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Sigh?break one thing, fix one thing, break one thing, break one thing?. So now when I save any setting in LS Cache, my media library disappears. I had images compressed with Shortpixel and lazyload being served via Perfmatters (LS Caches kinda sucks). Was working perfectly. Had every setting in LSCaches image optimization turned to off. Now if I make any tweaks anywhere within LS Cache, the entire media library gets wiped out. The images are still in a file (they are still loading), but you cant see them in the media libary. Already restored a 1500 post, 10,000 image website three times tonight from backup. Gets a bit old. This topic was modified 9 months, 3 weeks ago by mikequinn. And I just finished the third restoration (from the same restore time) and now my media library is still nuked. I am about done with this? This isnt my first rodeo?been running websites since 2013. And getting Litespeed running without breaking everything has been the absolute worse experience. And turning off litespeed, perfmatters, and Short Pixel did no good. No media files found. And your dologin stuff wont install. Probably cause of stuff other security plugins have done (changing database table names, etc)?and the ones that I have were turned off. No go. I swear to God Im in fraggin WordPress Inception here. Fix something to fix something to fix something to fix something to fix something to fix something to fix something?. And Ive been fraggin with this for a good three weeks. Why do I have to troubleshoot Dologin to report issues? Why did I go this route? Why? From forcing my host (Knownhost) to install LiteSpeed Enterprise which they had plopped on my server and hadnt turned on, to forcing them to install memecache, to paying off Godaddy so I could actually point my DNS to Quic Cloud, to fixing every g$#%#$# thing that has broken. Why? I should have just went Cloudways and been done with it. Little WP Rocket, little Perfmatters. Done and dusted. Yeah, fourth restore didnt fix it. Nice, now my editor wont be able to work in the morning (NZ time). Turned off all the plugins?including Litespeed. And now the site is completely dead and offline. Thanks. Shit started going highwire right after I switched DNS to Litespeed and got (successfully) hooked to the CDN. Unable to update anything, upload anything. And then turned off all the plugins and whammo. Offline. Gonna cost me money and SERP positions and its 11:00 PM my time. Worse. decision. of. my. life. Change the nameservers back to my old custom names and along with the host name?gotta wait and see if this now propagates correctly. You all have a paid installation service? I am not messing with this again. Its not worth the pain and mental anguish. Site is back online with DNS pointing at my server. Can upload and update things now. Media library is visible and usable. And Im now missing my logo for some unexplainable reason (even in incognito and on various browsers)?.guess well go for the fifth restore of night. I think tomorrow, well try a Cloudways Vltr HF account and cloudflare. Its a known combo that has all the kinks worked out of it and I need acceptable performance. And after backup restore number 5, my logo is back. Maybe you guys should go into the dental business? Root canals are profitable. Lol. Sorry. Couldnt resist. Im sure its the operator and not the product. Hi, Im sorry to hear this. the only thing I can think of that might interact with the Media page is the one column that inserted by LSCWP to display the image optm percentage and webp indicator if you have different plugin may also interact with Media page , then it could result an unexpected result as Media not displaying but if you even turned it off and still not displaying , then maybe something else was in the way you can also check with browser dev tool first, see if there is any error message , it usually gives some hint and idea about what happened if you have trouble for report/dologin , you can also just simply mail to support at litespeedtech.com with reference link to this topic, our devs will investigate further. Best regards, Hi qtwrk. It killed updating, installing, and uploading too?I assume they are interconnected. Site is back up and live for Sunday CONUS so Im happy with that. Gotta stay online to pay my writers. But something in Litespeed server/cache is causing my GA to be roughly doubled of what it should be?nothing funky shows in inspect (one GTAG like it should be) and I have GTAG excluded. Sigh? Maybe the DNS wasnt fully propagated? I couldnt leave it as it was?its Sunday in the states (thats about 50-60k of pagesviews) and my editor will be working in the morning (NZ). you are jumping too fast , cant follow it up for whatever issue you currently issue or had , Id suggest to set up a stage site and we can work on it , if you have large site , you can drop all the older images and only preserve like newest 2,3 pages of Media page for Media issue youve mentioned.
