Wordpress LScache Plugin: Safari browsers being served webp images
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi guys, Anyone enabled webp replacement and notice that on Safari (iOS) that images are missing? I can only assume that webp images are being served instead of the normal images. Safari doesnt actually support webp. From what I can see in the htaccess, litespeed should only serve the variation if browser supports webp. Not sure if this is a bug in the cache plugin or Im missing something in my config? This topic was modified 3 years, 5 months ago by luminsol. Hi, Could you please provide the report number ? And please check if , that you disable webp replacement and purge all , will it work fine on Safari? Best regards, Hi thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I cant provide the report number as weve had to uninstall the plugin. But I can confirm that if webp was disabled, then everything works as intended on Safari. Hi, Thanks for the feedback , we will do more test and investigation based on your information. Best regards, I have the same issue images missing in Safari (Webp) My Report number is SBYKQOXT Is the solution to turn off Webp altogether? For ALL browsers? Yes, you have to disable WebP until it the LsCache plugin is fixed or Safari begins to support WebP. Annoying, but thats the way it is sometimes. Any fix for this in the pipeline? This looks like its been fixed in LsCache v3. Always the same problem with v3. he removes the images in safari
