Wordpress LScache Plugin: Responsive Placeholder not Working and LQIP not Generating
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi, On my website, Responsive Placeholader works normally, but when I Exclude Image from the lazy load, stop working responsive placeholder. I excluded from lazyload my Featured Image on the post by Class. Other image responsive placeholders are working, but the featured image that I exclude from the lazy load is not working a responsive place holder. Another Problem is, My LQIP is not generating. LQIP settings are on and start Generation, but in a few seconds, all the images go in Exclude LQIP tab and not generate LQIP (These images will not generate LQIP. Both full URLs and partial strings can be used.). I Use Most of the webp format, but I also tested with jpg. None of them are generating LQIP. Hope I will get a solution. Thanks Hi, yes , when you exclude something from lazyload , it will off on LQIP and responsive placeholder as well , as lazyload is their parent function or master switch Best regards, I understood your responsive placeholders settings, but it should not be a best practice to make lazyload is a master function for all media and dependent. They should be a Free setting instead of a dependent. Above the folds image or 1st image should be excluded from lazyload, but it is getting High CLS without responsive placeholder. You are doing best in WordPress caching, but the lazyload/media settings are not satisfactory. Maybe I am wrong. Another issue is LQIP note generating. I found that jpg is normally generating, but Webp format is not generating LQIP, and excluding tab, even responsive placeholder is working. Will you please tell me why LQIP not generating for Webp images? Hi, Respnsive placeholder and LQIP are like a more advanced or more nice looking way of default lazyload placeholder (refer to that grey placeholder by default) , if this makes more sense to you for why lazyload is master switch for them. since you didnt provide the site link , so I can only guess and mentioned 3 main reasons : LQIP only works when images comes with width and height attribute , so if your image is loaded without these 2 attr , then LQIP does not know what size of LQIP it needs to generates if image is loaded by JS/CSS , instead of HTML
