Redis and PHP 8

Wordpress LScache Plugin: Redis and PHP 8

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
A strange problem. When I enable Redis object cache, I get a really badly looking page for comment subscriptions. The plugin for subscriptions I use (asked there for help too): https://wordpress.org/support/topic/php-8-0-problem/ This is what it looks like: https://i.ibb.co/LhBvKYW/stcr-php8.png If I switch to PHP 7.4 ? it all works and looks fine. If I stay with PHP 8.0 and disable Redis object cache from the Litespeed plugins interface ? it also works and looks fine. The problem persists with Memcached object cache enabled. It disappears if I switch to PHP 7.4, or if I disable Litespeed object cache. The page I need help with: https://bicikl.bikegremlin.com/comment-subscriptions/ Update: I asked the hosting provider to have a look and check if its all fine on that end. Heres the reply I got: While we do make PHP 8.0 available in our shared hosting environment, it is still considered new and compatibility, module availability and performance is not guaranteed. For the best compatibility, module availability and performance we suggest using PHP 7.4 Solved ? the solution if its of any use to anyone else: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/php-8-0-problem/#post-15208030

LiteCache Rush: Speed comes from using less, not from doing it faster
