Wordpress LScache Plugin: Redis/Memcached Do Not Work
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Report No.: MYGWPNUC I cannot get Redis to work with LiteSpeed. I can get Redis to work at the command line. It says PONG when I PING it. Redis Object Cache also recognizes the Redis installation. I tried installing PECL, cleared the cache, turned on guest mode. However, nothing can get Redis to work. Id appreciate the help! https://i.imgur.com/vCeqo7Z.png The page I need help with: http://www.nycliquorlicenserenewal.com you need to install php redis extension and make sure you can see it loaded on phpinfo page I followed these instructions. The Redis extension works with the other Redis WP plugin. https://techvblogs.com/blog/install-and-secure-redis-on-ubuntu-22-04 I tried following the Litespeed directions but it was not helpful. did you see redis extension in phpinfo page? I dont. I have no idea how to install it. The Redis WP plugin works. Theres no instruction on installing Redis-php for Ubuntu 22 that works with Litespeed. whats your PHP version ? try apt install lsphp80-redis , replace 80 to your actual version No package found. I tried installing the repository for Openlitespeed but no luck. Also tried building it but again no luck Whats your PHP version? 8.0 I found the redis.so and copied it to the proper extensions directory where all the other modules are but still no luck. I restarted nginx and apache2. are you using Apache nginx php+fpm or something? I set up my server and installed WordPress using Hestia Control Panel.I am using Apache2 as the backend and Nginx/PHP-FPM. I am not sure how to install redis extension in PHP-FPM though Thank you very much for your efforts. Hestia CP defaults to installing Nginx/PHP-FPM served by Apache2 on the backend. I had to reset the server and set it up with only Nginx/PHP-FPM and FastCGI. Now its working with Redis after installing Redis and Redis PHP using the guide below. https://techvblogs.com/blog/install-and-secure-redis-on-ubuntu-22-04
