Wordpress LScache Plugin: Re: LiteSpeed Cache ? Strange Issue
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi there, We encountered a strange issue with LiteSpeed Cache whereby the website is all of sudden showing the character encoding instead of the normal website text & images: https://snipboard.io/GXDfca.jpg The issue was fixed by purging all the cache but we were wondering what happened in the first place. We found this post which is similar to what happened except the website is not using W3 Total Cache and the server is cPanel + LiteSpeed Web Server https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/59309/strange-characters-in-wordpress-website-displayed-for-visitors It would be great if you could let us know how to prevent this from happening again if possible at all. Thanks. The page I need help with: https://www.lumineertours.com.au/ Hi, Unfortunately, we have no way to help you troubleshoot this issue as it is a rare and unpredictable occurrence. And, weve never had anyone else reporting the exact or similar issue to us. However, what you can do is to check and make sure youre not using any other plugin for caching when you implement caching with LS Cache. Best regards. Hi, I saw such case before due to corrupted SWAP dir on webserver if you have access, please try clean up directory /tmp/lshttpd/swap/ Best regards, Hi @tenkstars @CacheCrawler, thanks so much for getting back to me! Unfortunately, I wont be able to locate /tmp/lshttpd/swap/ folder on our shared-hosting server. The website is all fine now after purging the cache but I was just wondering if theres way we could prevent it from happening again? Also will the sudden spike in traffic in theory corrupt the SWAP folder? Curious to know your thoughts on this. Thanks again! Hi, I do not know just saying such a case like this before , but it was very random and we were never able to ascertain the root cause of it : ( Best regards,
