Wordpress LScache Plugin: Purge all caches when post new tag
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi, Each time I create a new tag, I see notification at top Purge all caches successfully. I do not choose purge all in Purge Settings. Report number: RPUPAXJB Thanks. Whenever the following hooks are triggered, a purge_all will be sent: switch_theme, wp_create_nav_menu, wp_update_nav_menu, wp_delete_nav_menu, create_term, edit_terms, delete_term, add_link, edit_link, delete_link This is to make sure your pages up-to-date. no, its a new tag added when posting. Its just happen today since version 2.2 Well in previous v2.1.2 it purges too. Before refactored the Purge class in v2.2, the only difference is some purge all dont show the message. Also, I just wanted to add, in case you didnt realize it, @longnha, create_term (one of the hooks mentioned above by @hailite) is triggered when you add a brand new tag to a post. Thats why the Purge All happens. Its always worked this way. Its just that the message is new. In case the post (with new terms) is not published, but is scheduled, then should Purge All happens? In my case, the post is scheduled, Purge All happen. When the post is published, the purge happen again! To clarify: its not a Purge All that happens when you publish a post. The only items to be purged are the ones specifically related to that post, as configured in the Purge tab under LiteSpeed Cache > Settings. But you are correct, that for those post-specific pages only, there is a second purge when a scheduled post is published. Hi again, I cant reproduce it when ESI is set to on correctly. Can you check if your widget recent post set ESI to cacheable? Hi, Ive ESI off and dont have pages with Recent Posts Widget. Each time I create a new tag or update a tag, it clear all caches. This is really resource costly when the site has a lot of post and also, no meaning for this action because the new tag is really has no effect to the whole site. There already has a setting when Purge All happen and it should respect it. Anyway to prevent it please? Thanks. Hi, Could you please submit a ticket here so we can have further investigation ? https://store.litespeedtech.com/store/submitticket.php Best regards,
