Wordpress LScache Plugin: Prevent intrusive add in Dashboard

Since Im hosting and managing many sites for my clients and myself using a few WP-sites, I find this more than intrusive. The worst is, that its showing up everywhere. As a paying client I expect your server and plugin to work in the background, with no distraction on the frontend, meaning everything that is visible to my clients who use the LiteSpeed plugin (which is all my clients). I really hate plugins who are begging for reviews. Im a paying customer using your commercial 2CPU license. As a paying client I always give bad reviews in stead of the one being asked for to express my disregard. Today I will use this support-forum and wait for your reaction first. Please update your plugin and stop this useless advertisement, please. Its more than annoying. Its not even being agressively being prompted for writing a review. The stats about the pagespeed-score is simply incorrect and misleading. Very unprofessional, especially if my clients see this, do their own tests and then ask me if I try to bullsh them. So your add is even harming my business. Other than that, LiteSpeed Webserver is by far the best webserver, so you got me in a position that makes it very hard to switch, in case you keep on bringing up this add. Please stop these ads. I appreciate that you took the time to write a forum post rather than a bad review. Im sorry that you dont like the informational banners, and I apologize for any inconvenience they may have caused. This style of banner is very common among popular plugins. Most of the feedback weve received has been positive so far, so hopefully you will get very little pushback from your own clients. That said, weve discussed it internally, and we will be happy to provide a mechanism for opting out of future non-critical banners in mass-enabled installations in the next version of the plugin. Please tell me more about the PageSpeed score issue. Are you getting different results than we are displaying? Heres how our results are calculated: Page Load Time: our closest cloud server to your site visits the following 2 pages and clocks the load time for each 1. Before ? site_url?LSCWP_CTRL=before_cache (an uncached page) 2. After ? site_url (the same page cached) PageSpeed Score: we send requests to the Google Page Score API using: 1. Before ? site_url?LSCWP_CTRL=before_optm (an unoptimized page) 2. After ? site_url (the same page optimized) That is it. We will update here when it is. Hello, thank you for your reply and sorry for my late answer. Right now Im not in a hurry, because I have already calmed down most of my angry clients. Such an unnessecary overhead this has caused to me I still want these banners to never ever appear again, because whenever Im onboarding new clients, they feel potentially annoyed by any kind of advertisement in their dashboard. The dashboard is very much considered as a private space and plugin-vendors who dont respect this should be aware of this, from my point of view. Did your team update the plugin accordingly yet? Are add-banners for new sites disabled by default? Notifications such as Purged cache successfull etc. are ok for us of course. I dont agree that anyone should opt-out from these banner to be displayed. It should be the other way around, because with your promotional-banners you are intruding the clients dashboard without asking. My clients should have the choice if they will see third-party banners in their dashboards without being forced to decide! Just let them opt-in and stop throwing your banner into their faces and tell them Hey, nice stats, isnt it? Oops, youre not interested? You dont even like them? SORRY, but your fault that you have installed me, hahaha! Just opt-out here: [link] and we will return to just do what you have installed me for !At least this is what your previously mentioned idea to provide an opt-out would look like in my worst dreams Imagine every plugin-vendor would push promo-banners to wp-dashboards by default??? Really, just imagine ? This is the solution I much prefer: I would rather tell my clients on our tutorial-pages about how to access statistics that were aggregated by your plugin. Another solution: Stop the promo-banner from showing up in the dashboard, but display it on the plugin-page at https://domainname.tld/wp-admin/admin.php?page=lscache-settings By the way, even for us as the hosting provider: these banners are disrupting our branding efforts on one of our brands, where were providing WP as a Saas-Website-Builder with a customised dashboard with our own branding. I hope you know what I mean. I cannot strech out enough about how important it is to respect our clients claim for privacy, at least in the EU. I hope you understand. Though, reading your comment on how the page speed statistics are generated it is clear that your not using the PageSpeed Insights tool to generate them, which is what most people will be ranking against and trying to optimize. Hi, @franktrog We do use the Google PageSpeed Insights API to generate the statistics. I assure you they are not false nor are we manipulating the results in any way.
