Wordpress LScache Plugin: Persistent loading of cached log-in page

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
I have a new installation of the Litespeed WP plug-in with Litespeed server. The WP site has a soft paywall ? some pages are free to all, some have the first few paragraphs free, the remaining paragraphs are pay-to-view, some are 100% behind the paywall. The paywall is Amember Pro. I have failed to set up Litespeed in this environment. It persistently caches the log-in page (whether the dedicated log-in page, or a page with a log-in box between the free content and pay-to-view content). This is regardless of what settings I have on Cache Logged-In Users and Cache Log-In Page . I have tried various combination of settings, also looked at Vary and ESI, to no avail. At the moment I just have all subscriber-only pages (several thousand) excluded from cache ? it would be great to see up so they could be privately cached. Can you help please? Thanks. Chris The page I need help with: http://www.thewinedoctor.com Hi, Could you please create a susbcriber account there ? since it requires CC validation you can use support at litespeedtech.com as mail I will need to check around for pages on guest and pages on subscriber. Best regards, Hi Sure, done that ? you should have received a mail with log-in details. At present I have the plugin set up so it only caches URLs which are never pay-to-view, so you wont see the problem replicated. If you want me to change that, just let me know. Thanks for your assistance. Best wishes Chris K Hi, Could you please try add this at top of your .htaccess, purge all , and then see how it goes ? RewriteEngine On RewriteRule .? - [E=Cache-Vary:amember_ru] see if it helps Best regards, Thanks, that appears to have worked. I have tested it and will continue to do so. Thanks again for looking at this for me. Sadly, while this worked well when I tested it, subscribers have contacted me saying they have been repeatedly served the log-in page after logging in, so this does not appear to have resolved the issue. emmm? could you please descript how can I reproduce this issue ? whats the steps ? Subscribers describe exactly what I descried in OP. 1. When not logged in, call a page that required a subscription. It is served with soft paywall replacing everything after 2 or 3 paragraphs with a log-in box. 2. User logs in, so is now expecting to be served full page with all content. 3. Instead user is served page with log-in box after 2 or 3 paragraphs, as if not logged in. He logs in again, but is continually served page asking for log in. Disabling caching fixes it. It is currently disabled at present because thats not good for paying subscribers. It would be great if you could try to reproduce but I would have to turn on caching for logged-in users again. Regards Chris Hi, Could you please provide the report number ? you can get it in toolbox -> report -> click send to LiteSpeed Best regards, Thanks for this. I put the settings back to how they were at the time the problem occurred, and have sent it. BWs Chris Hi, please provide me the number it generates and also , could you please join our Slack community where we can coordinate the check , to keep the interruption to minimal if youd join in , please let me know your username or reach me by @CacheCrawler Best regards, My apologies, I overlooked that requirement. I resent the report. The number is DHHCKKKY. I signed up at Slack and messaged you there. okay , thanks, will message you in Slack.
