Minifying Web Fonts

Wordpress LScache Plugin: Minifying Web Fonts

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
I see that LiteSpeed is minifying web fonts, which I believe are already in a compressed format. Is it possible to ignore web fonts? I am having an issue with a few plugins that have relative paths to web fonts and LiteSpeed attempts to minify those files and I would like it to ignore them. Heres a related support ticket: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/css-minify-adding-folder-min-ns-folder-structure-causing-4004-errors/#post-11460575 Hi @gfxdesigner, ignore web fonts mean you dont want to compress the web font? Yes. I would like to ignore web fonts from being minified if possible. Litespeed is showing minified files within relative paths that do not exist for some plugins. If I update the plugins to point to the fonts from an absolute path, it works. However, this is problematic to monitor. Hi @gfxdesigner, please try to add the web font URL to LiteSpeed Cache > Settings > Tuning > CSS Excludes Both full URLs and partial strings can be used, so you can just add the file extension to exclude all web font on your site.

LiteCache Rush: Speed comes from using less, not from doing it faster
