Mail SMTP Issue ? emails are not sent

Wordpress LScache Plugin: Mail SMTP Issue ? emails are not sent

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi, @CacheCrawler, When I changed the DNS zone from my host to QUIC.CDN , emails are not sent anymore! Prior to this change, email delivery was fine. My mail SMTP was working fine. I should point out that I do not use any third party mail delivery service. I use my hosts email service. Now the emails are NOT being sent anymore. The error message displayed is as follows: SMTP error: Cannot connect to SMTP host . Please, how to solve this problem? Thank you, please try create a subdomain , like mail.domain.com and point to your origin IP , then if you are using SMTP , update that server address to mail.domain.com Hi, @CacheCrawler, mail.domain.com already exists in my host DNS zone editor and points to my host IP address. I changed the SMTP host from my domain.com to mail.domain.com, but the emails are not being sent. Where do I create this subdomain? Is it on Quic.CDN as a Domain Alias? Thank you, no , not as alias , but an individual subdomain create subdomain on where you host your domain DNS, could be QC DNS, or your providers DNS you need to verify by ping , make sure mail domain is pointed to your origin server if you are using cPanel , you can use cPanels hostname as your SMTP server address you can try like email client app on your computer or mobile first, they usually gives out some more detailed error message. Hi, @CacheCrawler, As I mentioned earlier, my DNS zone has been moved from my cPanel to Quic.cloud. I tried to create a mail.domain.com subdomain in the Quic.cloud DNS zone, but I get an error message: https://www.screencast.com/t/uD4EMRH4MH I want to point out that mail has already been imported from my previous DNS zone and points to my original server IP: https://www.screencast.com/t/fpt7XYQ3vh ? Also, the host names are not imported as they are in cPanel. For example : domain.com. >> becomes >> @ mail.domain.com. >> becomes >> mail http://ftp.domain.com. >> becomes >> ftp etc? Can this cause a connection problem? Regards, Hi, @CacheCrawler, The problem is solved. It was a routing email problem. It had to be set to local in cPanel. Thank you for your help, and support. sorry for late reply , and good to know you sorted it out
