Wordpress LScache Plugin: Load CSS Asynchronously wont work together with generate critical CSS
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hello LiteSpeed Cache team, I really appreciate the hard work and updates for the past couple of days, but ever since 3.3.1 update and yep this latest one 3.4. The load CSS Asynchronously option wont work together with generate critical CSS. When these two options are enabled in my site, the website just turns Error 524. However, just turning on generate critical CSS alone and disabling load CSS asynchronously option, will return the site to normal. As of version 3.3, these 2 options are working great together with my site, 3.3.1 and 3.4 breaks it with Error 524. This might be a bug, Im not sure yet but if you can please check and if theres anything I could do to resolve it. Reason: Corrected the error response The page I need help with: https://www.moneyformybeer.com/ After goes to v3.4, can you try to purge CCSS manually? Upgrades wont purge CCSS/LQIP cache. Not sure if 524 is bcos of existing CCSS cache content. Also, can you try to turn off CloudFlare to test it? Hello Hai, Thank you and apologies for the late reply. Just wanted you to know that the issue have been resolved. Thanks for the insight about CF. Heres what I did: I temporarily have set Cloudflare in development mode, so caches dont interfere. I also purged the cache in Cloudflare. I thought that maybe the mobile cache is the one that caused it. So I turned the option off in LiteSpeed cache settings and reviewed the htaccess. (Looking good) I have purged all caches just to be sure. (Lscache, CSS/JS cache, LQIP cache, critical CSS cache) I have turned mobile cache setting back on. I have turned load CSS asynchronously on together with generate critical CSS. Tested the issues without Cloudflare (Its now working) I have turned on Cloudflare again and tested it (Its still working) I also tested if cron is working with generate critical CSS, and all is working fine now. Not sure if the mobile cache setting caused it or Cloudflare cache but anyways Im thankful for the insight and its working now. I have marked this one resolved. Keep up the good work and stay safe always! Reason: Readability improvements
