Wordpress LScache Plugin: Litespeed ESI breaking RankMath PRO JS
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hello Support, Having had some issues with Rank Math PRO I created a staging site and stripped everything back. Eventually I found that Litespeed ESI was the cause of the problem. As the only option I have is to disable ESI this must either be a problem with Litespeed or RankMath. How do I rule out Litespeed as the cause/problem ? This topic was modified 1 year, 11 months ago by Nic Windley. Here is a screencast that demonstrates the issue: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xlajpdr6utoqe64/litespeed_ESI%2Brankmath_PRO.mkv?dl=0 Hi, now that is weird , I also thought the ESI doesnt have effect on wp-admin please try this 1. reset LSCWP to default 2. only enable ESI 3. now go to toolbox -> debug -> set admin IP to your IP , log level to advance 4. now perform your keyword adding-removing action 5. go to toolbox -> log viewr , and please post the log Best regards, Thanks qtwrk. After following those steps I can confirm that nothing is showing in the Debug Log ? After upgrading WordPress and Rankmath Pro to current versions 5.6 and 2.0.6 the behaviour of the bug has now changed. It no longer appears to be tied to just Litespeed ESI. Its now getting triggered when Litespeed is enabled even with most settings disabled including ESI, page optimisation etc. The keyword update doesnt get performed until I clear the LS cache. Hi, Did you happen to have object cache enabled ? could you please try reset to default setting and see how it goes ? Best regards, No object cache on the server so no, its never been (and wasnt) enabled. Ill try the reset once again. Hi, also please check on these rankmath page, what is the http response header ? do you see x-litespeed-cache or x-litespeed-cache-control header? if so , what is the value of it ? Best regards, I performed a full reset again ? no difference. Im seeing: x-litespeed-cache-control: no-cache Hi, Please create a ticket here, we will investigate it further Best regards, Done. Ticket id #87994542.
