Litespeed Cache and advanced-cache.php

Wordpress LScache Plugin: Litespeed Cache and advanced-cache.php

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi, I switched from another caching plugin to Litespeed Cache a while back. I still have advanced-cache.php installed as an mu-plugin. Can I delete this file/plugin, or is it required for functionality with Litespeed Cache? Hi, No , LSCWP doesnt actually need adv-cache , it is only there for compatibility You can go to Advance tab to disable adc-cache check , or remove it and LSCWP will auto-regenerate it. Best regards, Thanks for the quick response. Ill go ahead and remove the file. Hello, I have the same issue in my dashboard after installation of Litespeed Cache there is advanced-cache.php within drop-in plugins. Showing: Drop-ins are advanced plugins in the wp-content directory that replace WordPress functionality when present. So Im just trying to remove that but no success. I uncheck option in advanced settings but I cant remove that file from Advanced settings. Only to check/uncheck. Should I delete advanced-cache.php from cpanel or ? Can you please help me with that. Thank you in advance. Best, Dragan You would need to go to cPanel and remove the advanced-cache.php file from the /path/to/wp-content/ directory Hi Barnez, Unfortunately it didnt work for me after I deleted advanced-cache-php in cpanel, after few seconds it showed up in /path/wp-content/ in filezilla Does it change anything enabled and connected cloudflare ? Sounds like it is being regenerated by a plugin or at the server level. It does no harm to leave the file in place.
