LiteSpeed not working with StudioPress theme

Wordpress LScache Plugin: LiteSpeed not working with StudioPress theme

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hello, Using the StudioPress Genesis Essence Pro 1.0.2 child theme, the widgets located in Customize > Appearance > Widgets are populated and displaying on the site, but they are not present in the customzer. Instead, I see this message in the top left corner: Your theme has 8 widget areas, but this particular page doesnt display them. You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customizer to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages. (Screenshot of that here) When I disable all plugins, the widget area works fine until I enable LiteSpeed. My host provides LiteSpeed so I believe this plugin has always worked well with my site but Im not sure where something might have changed, whether an update or some settings. I have cleared LiteSpeed cache, cleared browser cache, cleared Cloudflare, switched LiteSpeed cache off, and have removed lazy load images and accompanying CSS which were recently enabled through LiteSpeed cache plugin settings. It wasnt until I disabled LiteSpeed that the problem resolved. Further information: WP v. 5.3 Genesis v. 3.2.1 Essence Pro theme v. 1.0.2 Browsers: Chrome, Firefox and Brave Thank you for your time and for your help! The page I need help with: http://genewhitehead.com Hi, You mean when you have LSCWP on , you got this error Your theme has 8 widget areas, but this particular page doesnt display them. You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customizer to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages. and it will be gone if you disable LSCWP ? Best regards, That is correct. The widgets are there and they are populated and do display on the site. But if LSCWP is enabled they will not display in Customizer > Appearance > Widgets. I am not able to view or edit the widgets in WP customizer. Hi, This is something new , first time heard such issue. Could you please try export your current setting , then reset to default setting and see how it goes ? Best regards, Hi qtwrk, Got it. I reset settings and then began making changes, purging and testing each time. The errors trigger with optimize settings. When I enabled css minify, 2 widget areas disappeared from customize. I disabled css minify and they returned. I do have cloudflare API present and have lazy load images working. Those are the only settings I changed before testing this issue with the options in the optimize tab. Hi, If you have that error happens with CSS minify , then perhaps you may need to exclude one or few CSS from optimization. Please check this wiki Best regards,
