Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 LiteSpeed Cache crashes wordpress EVERY plugin update Error Details ============= An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 540 of the file /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/object-cache.cls.php. Error message: Uncaught RedisException: read error on connection to localhost:6379 in /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/object-cache.cls.php:540 Stack trace: #0 /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/object-cache.cls.php(540): Redis->flushDB() #1 /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/purge.cls.php(374): LiteSpeed Object_Cache->flush() #2 /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/purge.cls.php(171): LiteSpeed Purge->_purge_all_object() #3 /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/purge.cls.php(157): LiteSpeed Purge->_purge_all() #4 /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(309): LiteSpeed Purge::purge_all() #5 /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(331): WP_Hook->apply_filters() #6 /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-includes/plugin.php(474): WP_Hook->do_action() #7 /usr/ Seems to only happen when I click update plugin. Automatic updates seem okay. RedisException: read error on connection to localhost:6379 this says you have connection issue to Redis and leads to crash if you dont have Redis working , then please turn off object cache Redis IS working fine. So its a problem with the LitesSpeed cache when wordpress plugins update. I just pinged redis and got a PONG. Everything with redis is working perfectly. https://imgur.com/a/9zvQMVW yeah yeah , but log doesnt lie is this your own server ? as I mean if you have access to Redis and its conf ? if you manually downgrade/upgrade a plugin , I assume this also always happens ? Yes i have access to redis what should I do? redis is just on default settings. I have not touched any config files or anything. Yes it happens everytime i try to manually install or upgrade a plugin. Automatic updates seem fine. Hi, please create a ticket by mail to support at litespeedtech.com with reference link to this topic. we will investigate further best regards, I did. they dont seem to respond. I saw the ticket, will ask one of our devs to check qtwrk I think the problem is with the litespeed cache plugin itself and how it interacts with redis. An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 540 of the file /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/object-cache.cls.php. Error message: Uncaught RedisException: read error on connection to localhost:6379 in /usr/local/lsws/Example/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/object-cache.cls.php:540 I am getting this error whenever I have litespeed cache activated and I do ANYTHING with plugins. Deactivating/activating/installing/uninstalling/updating wordpress plugins all create this error and crash wordpress. It will first lag the server for about 60 seconds then everything crashes with this error. When I deactivate litespeed cache there is no issues at all. Thank you for your help. I wish to continue using litespeed cache so hopefully this can be resolved.
