Wordpress LScache Plugin: LS Cache conflict with 301 Redirects (by Web Factory)
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Ive just activated LS Cache and then edited one of my 301 redirects, to find that it stopped working and I got a Page not found error. (Existing redirects continued to work, it was only the one I edited that broke.) Deactivated LS Cache, re-saved the redirect and it was fine again. Reactived LS Cache and the redirect continued to work. So I have a workaround, but Im sure I shouldnt need to deactivate LS Cache to be able to edit a 301 redirect successfully! Hi, I just installed that plugin , may I know what is the steps to reproduce/trigger the error ? Best regards, Following this Apologies for the delay in replying Ive just found the notification in my spam folder. Im finding that, if LSCache is activated and I edit or add a 301 redirect in the 301 Redirects app, the redirection doesnt work (even if Ive edited one that was previously working). If I deactivate LSCache and re-save the redirect (cant remember whether I actually edited it again first) then it works fine, and it continues to work once LSCache is reactived. Hi, hmmmm , okay ? but we will need to find a way to reproduce the issue in order to debug it. when you say doesnt work , like how ? what is the HTTP response header you see when it is not working ? Best regards, Ive just tried it again and its working today! It honestly wasnt just a one-off, Ive had the issue every time Ive changed a 301 redirect since installing LS Cache, until now! It WAS giving me a page not found error but since I dont seem to be able to re-create it now, Im afraid I cant answer your question properly. Hi, hmmmm , well , that does sound bit of weird , anyway , please let me know if that happens again , we will investigate it ! @webfactory if you receive any report about LiteSpeed Cache , please let me know Best regards, @CacheCrawler will do
