Jetpack XMLRPC issue ?

Wordpress LScache Plugin: Jetpack XMLRPC issue ?

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi, since activating LiteSpeed Cache I noticed Jetpack Related Posts failing (sometimes, not always) and did a Debug from the Jetpack dashboard. It sais that the XMLRPC requests are failing which explains missing related posts. Checking manually the /xmlrpc.php location, I get a WordPress 404 page. The file is very much in place and I see no .htaccess rules that could block this access (its a WordPress 404 response after all) ? Im not using any plugins that block XMLRPC requests. Could it be the LiteSpeed plugin that is causing this? Hi @ravanh , Have you tried disabling Litespeed Cache on see if it works then? In general, Litespee Cache does not interfere with XML-RPC requests or file. Thanks, I have just disabled the plugin completely and even switched out the lsCache in front of Apache and the issue remains. Must be something else then but no idea what :/ Sorry about bothering you with this apparently unrelated issue. No problem Youre on the right track, However, It might not be related to your WordPress at all. Sometimes, Hosting Providers also block XML-RPC because it can cause DoS attacks. Try by renaming your xml-rpc.php to something else and see if you can access it, If you can, It is most definitely your host blocking access to xml-rpc.php. Best of Luck. Indeed, it turned out to be mod_security that somehow was activated for one domain but not others. Hence the confusion
