Jetpack Protect and LiteSpeed Cache

Wordpress LScache Plugin: Jetpack Protect and LiteSpeed Cache

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi, Ive noticed users and site owners on a multisite (subdir mode) getting locked out by Jetpack Protect since LiteSpeed Cache has been active on the network level. Not sure it its related at all so my question is: has anyone noticed this issue before and what can be done about it? Hi @ravanh, may I know more details on how to reproduce the issue? Should I install LiteSpeed Cache on a Sub Directory WordPress and then install JetPack? Which protect function should I turn on? Hi Stanley, Im not sure if a particular order is important but I have a subdir network with Jetpack installed and network-activated. All sites (one main site, two sub-sites) are linked to wordpress.com from the Jetpack network menu which means the Protect module is automatically active on all sites. I recently installed LiteSpeed Cache, network-activated it and it seems to be running smoothly with the server LiteSpeed cache. Except that since then, I get the sub-site admins complain that they cannot log in because they are being blocked by Jetpack message saying their IP was flagged for possible security violations. They had never seen these messages before, so I assume it might be related to the new cache? Also, as super admin I have not encountered these blockages so I cant really tell you how to reproduce. Im afraid its one of those elicit kind of interactions that are extremely hard to debug Ill add the Jetpack tag in the hopes one of the Jetpack people can shed some light on the matter? Normally our plugin will not make extra call from admins IP when they using WordPress. Lets wait for Jetpacks reply, or you can try to disable LiteSpeed Cache plugin for a while to confirm the issue is because of our plugin. Look forward to your update. Hi @ravanh Im going to mark this resolved, due to lack of activity. If there is any further update, please feel free to re-open the thread. Thanks! Hi @lclarke I have not run into the issue again but Ill come back here if I do, Thanks

LiteCache Rush: Speed comes from using less, not from doing it faster
