Wordpress LScache Plugin: JS Minify errors ramification

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi, I enabled JS Minify and my site wouldnt load properly and I could no longer access any pages, including my WordPress dashboard. So I was unable to turn off this preference or disable the Litespeed cache plugin altogether. As a result, I deleted the Litespeed plugin folder via ftp. Things were back to normal, however when I reinstalled it, the previous Lightspeed prefs of JS Minify On was still set. Fortunately the dashboard eventualy loaded and I could turn this pref off. In the future, if I have such an event again when testing Litespeed Optimization settings, is there a way to restore Lightspeed to default settings when I cant get into WordPress (ie without completely restoring the sql database from a backup)? You can install an old version to get rid of it. The minify process bypassed backend. when you visit /wp-admin, is there any error? Thats good to know, thanks. Can I download an older version somewhere? I just uninstalled W3TC and installed LS today. Currently there are no errors diplayed on /wp-admin. Is there a log somewhere that might still include errors from earlier in the day before it was uninstalled/reinstalled? If there is no error in wp-admin when activated lscwp, can you visit the plugin page or lscwp setting then? If it is php error, you should check php error log. I retried turning on the JS Minify setting again and it worked great this time without any issues. Thanks for your support.
