Wordpress LScache Plugin: Issue With Lightbox
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hey guys, So I have an issue with Litespeed that I cant seem to rectify. I have confirmed it is indeed Litespeed related, since deactivating the plugin removes the issue, as does enabling the Disable All Features setting in the Debug tab. I have reset the plugin to default settings and it is the latest version. Still no luck. The issue is related to the lightbox. When clicking on an image in a gallery, it should open the image in a lightbox. Yet on desktop, in Safari, Chrome and Firefox the image doesnt open in a lightbox, but rather the URL gets altered and the image opens up like as if you asked to open it in a new tab. On mobile (at least using Safari) it seems to function a little different. If I click the main image in a gallery, it opens the light box. But if I click a thumbnail, then it redirects the URL as per desktop, and the lightbox is bypassed. You can test it in the provided link. Strange thing is no errors are being thrown, and no matter what settings are selected in Litespeed it still persists. Only thing that stops it is deactivating Litespeed all together. I really hope you can provide some insight. Thanks. This topic was modified 1 year, 8 months ago by THP Studio. The page I need help with: https://jacksons4x4.com.au/vehicle-gallery/200-series/ I should add, its not specific to one page, but rather any gallery/lightbox element on the site. Currently, all JS and CSS optimisation is turned off. Hi, now could you please disable LSCWP ? I want to see how it reacts without it Best regards, Hey, thanks for the fast response. I have just disabled it now, you can try it. I appreciate the help. okay , now this is weird now please try re-enable it back , and reset it to default setting , you can do so in toolbox -> import/export -> reset to default , save and purge all , see how it goes Ok reactivated, reset and purged. are you using closte ? they seems to have varnish cache as well , did you purge that ? Yes using Closte. I just put it in development mode to bypass all of Clostes stuff and turned off the CDN. are you sure you disabled all other cache plugins ? and reset LSCWP to default ? because I am still seeing images are using CDN domain , instead of site domain Yes I was too, although 99% sure all is disabled. Can you try another page with gallery (try another vehicle gallery)? For me trying another page, its now working. Which is weird because Closte use Litespeed on the backend so Im not sure where the conflict would be? you still have some additional cache activated when I force bypass it like https://jacksons4x4.com.au/vehicle-gallery/200-series/?11123 then it loads , this random string in URL will bypass cache and force it to regenerate the page Hey apologies for the delay. You were right, Closte was still caching some things another way. Clearing them allowed us to work out the issue only happens when turning on the Google CDN option in Closte and entering it in the CDN field of the Litespeed plugin. Any ideas why this would be the case? Not sure if its Closte related or Litespeed related? hmmmmmm the CDN option is just simply replace the domain from https://www.doamin.com/wp-content/some.jpg to https://cdn.domain.com/wp-content/some.jpg , it doesnt alter anything the only possible thing I can think of , is maybe lightbox doesnt like external images ? since you set cdn , the image link is external to it Excellent thank you, I will follow that up with the theme developer. Thanks again for your help.
