Wordpress LScache Plugin: Image optimization and reset issue
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hello, We were previously using your plugin to optimize images however we were experiencing some issues so we reverted back to robin image optimizer however we soon become aware that the issue we were experiencing back then was not related to your plugin so we recently ditched robin optimizer so we could start over with Litespeed image optimization. The problem we are experiencing now is that out of the 5000 credits we can only ever send and receive a small number of images, the credits also never go back to 5000 unless we select to clean up unfinished data. The cron also may say last fetch 1 min ago but the number of fetched images does not increase. Have also tried to restore and start over but the optimized images percentage count just sits at 14% before and after reseting via undo optimization option. Hopefully, we can get this resolved as images were pushing and pulling perfectly before we changed plugins. There are couple enhancement and bugfix in v3.0 for image optimization. We are preparing preview version these days. If you dont mind, could you wait for the new version? We introduced a better way (server side trigger) to recover the credits to fix this issue. Hi @furnituresuppliesuk, sometimes our server might be on heavy load so the optimization speed might slow down, clean up unfinished data and start optimization again is the only solution at this moment. Weve improved our optimization server and will be released in v3.0, please stay tuned. Hi @stanleylitespeed, thank you for the info, I just thought it was odd that by selecting undo optimization to start over the optimization percentage was not resetting. It seems as though we can not reset and start over using the original images. If you think this is nothing to worry about Ill hold tight for next update, just thought it was odd that we were unable to start over as I recall this wasnt an issue for us before, I was hoping this was related to the extremely slow and low number of images submitted for processing. Just to add here is what the plugin says, This will send the optimisation request and the images to LiteSpeeds Image Optimisation Server. You can send at most 4898 images at once. If we hit send optimization request the credits stay the same and only go back to 5000 after selecting clean up unfinished data . Pretty much a loop of the above Its a common problem that sending large number of images at this version, please follow this thread to lower the number of the image to send each time for temporary solution. @stanleylitespeed thank you for that and also for the fast response, will give this a go @stanleylitespeed 2 weeks later and image optimization has increased by 1%. It may also be worth mentioning the (progress bar) Current Stage Status does not display at all, however on another site of mine images are optimized on-demand and the progress bar is visible, no issues at all. I feel something is very wrong somewhere.
