Wordpress LScache Plugin: Image lazyloading with LS in WP 5.9
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Wordpress 5.9 is automatically lazy loading all images (since 5.5, and all except the first one on the page since 5.9). Apparently there is no way to disable this lazyloading anymore. I want to be able to us LitteSpeed lazy loading instead. My theme hase 3 columns above the fold, showing 3 images, and I want to be able to control that with Litespeed. Can a feature be added to LS that would allow deactivating/overriding WordPress lazyloading? Normally wordpress seems to override everything. Litespeed cache has lazyloading option with exceptions as well, but it just doesnt work on 5.9 LiteSpeed lazy load needs disabled WP lazy load to work. Yes, i am trying to find a way to disable WP lazyloading You dont need extra lazyload plugin to suppress WP ones. In our latest changes, WP lazyload is already auto disabled. I have LiteSpeed lazy loading on, i excluded my images above the fold. All cache purged. I still have an image that is excluded but still lazy loading. You can see it on the GTMetrix report @hailite yes I saw that, however it is not woring as intended. You are sending me to a thread that concerns another plugin. The problem i have is wih LSC not working as intended (i.e. not deactivating WP lazy loading when LSC lazy loading is activated, which it is supposed to do) and not taking into account the excluded images. I mean from that topic , it appears the way to suppress wp lazy was kind of bugged or changed in wp 5.9
