Wordpress LScache Plugin: Image WebP Replacement on already optimized images
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Im using the Optimus plugin to optimize images on upload, rather than using LightSpeeds own optimization option which is not up to par with what Optimus is doing. The plugin that enables serving the WebP files Optimus makes is called Cache Enabler, both developed by KeyCDN. Im having issues where some images wont show before clearing the cache of Cache Enabler. I tried to enable LightSpeed Cache instead of Cache Enabler, enabling all the WebP replacement options in Advanced view > Media but with no luck. JPEG images are still being displayed even after purging the cache. tl dr Is there any way to display already converted WebP images on the server with LightSpeed Cache? EDIT: Just to make sure, THIS IS NOT A OPTIMUS QUESTION, JUST A QUESTION ABOUT CACHE PLUGINS SERVING WEBP CORRECTLY This topic was modified 4 years, 6 months ago by wktcasper. The page I need help with: http://d43401944.u319.surf-town.net/kitty-sample/ Hello, Are the webp images in wp-content/uploads/year/month/day/same name as jpeg.wepb? Hi, The first image is located at JPEG: http://d43401944.u319.surf-town.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/1003-1024?535.jpeg WebP: http://d43401944.u319.surf-town.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/1003-1024?535.webp EDIT: Ive also uploaded a renamed version at http://d43401944.u319.surf-town.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/1003-1024?535.jpeg.webp Hello again, Check in Litespeed cache -> Settings -> Media -> WebP For Extra srcset. Has to be On. http://prntscr.com/jozn4i here is a screenshot of the settings. Extra srcset is enabled. WebP replacement options in Advanced view > Media is only used for the webp files generated by LSCWP. Can you tell how the other plugin generated WebP files are stored? http://d43401944.u319.surf-town.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/1003-1024?535.jpeg.webp As you renamed it to this name, it should be able to serve from cache correctly if you have webp replacement on.
