Wordpress LScache Plugin: How to verify if image optimization was applied
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hello, Ive been optimizing images using LSCache and have switched to the optimized images. However, tools like pingdom and GTmetrix still report the same image size, no reduction. I have looked at the media library and can confirm that images have been optimized but it doesnt seem to be in effect. Hi, Please try check in file system , check if you see things like this : some.jpg some.bk.jpg some.jpg.webp If you see any images has a copy with .bk.jpg , that means it is optimized, and you can also check the size of them. Please note that LSCWP will only optimize images that is uploaded by Media , if the images are coming from 3rd party plugin or theme , anything that is not uploaded by yourself , it wont optimize them as they have no presence in database.
