Wordpress LScache Plugin: How to stop caching CSS and JS for Administrator user

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
I have set Cache Logged-in Users OFF, and Do Not Cache Roles includes the Administrator (i.e. its checked). However, when building pages and viewing the page (while still logged in), I dont see any changes that were just done that affect CSS or JS files, UNTIL I purge the Lightspeed cache. How can I prevent caching while I (Administrator) is logged in? Report #QYLTNWMH This topic was modified 2 years, 5 months ago by deralict. The page I need help with: https://citykinect.com Hi, Please go to Page optimization , last tab , there is an option to exclude certain role from optimization , but your issue is probably not CSS/JS being cached , but the minified/combined file are still in your browser cache , by default server will give expire/cache-control header for static resources , so unless you hard-refresh or clean up browser cache , it will probably not be updated in time. the only reason it will work if you purge all , because generated JS/CSS will change name once being purged. I believe the root cause is the browser cache , which is not related in cache login user or do not cache roles Best regards, Thanks for the tip, I did NOT have the Tuning Settings > Page Optimization > Role excludes options set for the administrator role. I will try that. However, shouldnt the other settings Im using ( Cache Logged-in Users OFF, and Do Not Cache Roles = Administrator) already prevent caching for the administrator roles? Are these settings broken? I can confirm that I absolutely DO CLEAR THE BROWSER CACHE using a hard refresh every time I make a CSS or JS change. So browser caching, or lack thereof, is NOT the cause of this issue. Hi, No , there is no real cache on static files these 2 options are preventing dynamic pages to be cached I am kind of curious about this issue. If you wish , I would like to invite you join our Slack community for further debugging. Best regards, Great, I would love to get this problem solved as its a massive time waster. I have joined the Slack group. What next? Hi, May I know your nickname in Slack ? I will reach you. Best regards, I cant locate my nickname within Slack, but looks like you found me.
